2019 Dates and Program announced!
Margaret River Readers & Writers Festival is the biggest regional literary event in Western Australia. Each year it brings an array of thought-provoking writers to the region including novelists, journalists, academics and established and emerging storytellers from WA, interstate and overseas.
The 2019 festival program explores wild, weird and wonderful stories that expand our horizons, make us laugh, ponder, question and smile. With nearly 60 writers, journalists, poets, playwrights, illustrators, photographers and presenters we invite readers to join presenters as we hear stories brought to life in many forms. Special guests this year include Germaine Greer, Michael Leunig, James Massola, Chris Hammer, William McInnes and Professor Lisa Harvey-Smith.
The festival is multi-dimensional and includes author talks, interviews, Q&A sessions, panel discussions, book signings, Feature Events and the Festival Workshop Series. With 3 Day Passes, Day Passes and Feature Event tickets often selling out long before the event, we encourage guests to get in early.
This year's festival is being held from 3 - 5 May at Voyager Estate and other great venues throughout the region.
